A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. It allows the website to remember certain information between your visits, such as your preferred language or your login status, in order to provide you with a more consistent and functional experience.
Qevik sets the following cookies. The first three are necessary for the service to work and are always active. The fourth is used only for visit statistics and is set only after you consent:
JWT authentication token stored as an HTTP-only cookie. Maintains your session after login. Inaccessible to browser-side JavaScript.
Duration : Session
Category : Essential
Stores your country, either selected by you or, failing that, estimated by our hosting provider from your IP address, to personalise the language and applicable market.
Duration : 1 year
Category : Preference
Records your choice on visit statistics (accepted or refused), so that we do not ask you again on every page.
Duration : 1 year
Category : Essential
Random identifier that lets us count visitors without counting the same person twice. It is linked neither to your account nor to your identity. It works together with qevik_sid, an entry in your browser's session storage that groups the pages of one visit and disappears after 30 minutes of inactivity or when you close the tab. Both are created only after you consent.
Duration : 90 days (not extended)
Category : Statistics
Qevik places no advertising cookies (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, etc.) and uses no third-party analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.). If you accept statistics, Qevik measures visits itself, on its own servers, and only totals are viewed. Nothing is sold, shared or used for advertising.
Necessary cookies (qevik_token, qevik_country, qevik_cookie_consent) are set without consent, because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). The data they hold is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in a website that works and remembers your choice (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The statistics cookie qevik_vid and the session entry qevik_sid are stored and read only with your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG), which is also the legal basis for the statistics themselves (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time: the cookie is deleted and we erase the data linked to your identifier.
Qevik does not integrate any third-party service that would place cookies for advertising, social media or analytics. Visit statistics are measured by Qevik itself, on its own servers in Germany: no data is passed to a third-party analytics tool. On payment pages, Stripe's payment module may use its own cookies to secure the payment and prevent fraud; they are not used for our statistics.
You can control, block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Deleting the qevik_vid cookie this way stops statistics for that browser, but does not erase the data already linked to that identifier on our servers: it is then deleted automatically after 90 days. To have it erased straight away, first withdraw your consent in the panel in section 7, then delete your cookies. Disabling the authentication cookie (qevik_token) will cause you to be automatically logged out on every visit.
Use the panel below to accept or refuse visit statistics, or to withdraw your consent. Withdrawing is as easy as accepting and takes effect immediately: the qevik_vid cookie is deleted and we erase the data linked to that identifier from our servers.
Consent status
Necessary cookies (qevik_token, qevik_country, qevik_cookie_consent) are always active: they are essential to the service and need no consent (§ 25(2) TDDDG). Visit statistics (qevik_vid) only run with your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG). You can give it here, or withdraw it just as easily, at any time.
