Description

This credit-card-sized card (85 × 54 × 0.42 mm) in matte black anodized aluminium carries a QR code and a Qevik ID, both laser-engraved, plus an NTAG216 NFC chip. For an individual, it is their own ID. For a business, it is the company ID, together with an engraved key unique to each card. Slipped into a wallet, case, bag or equipment pouch, it gives the finder a simple way to reach the holder. They just scan the QR code with their phone camera or tap the card on an NFC-enabled smartphone, with no app and no account. They land on the holder's Qevik page, where they only see the information the holder has chosen to make public. For a business card, they can enter the engraved key to find out who the item is assigned to. They can then notify the holder through the form on the page, or drop the item off at a nearby Qevik agency or lost and found office. Without a phone, they can also enter the engraved ID on qevik.com. The holder can change what is visible at any time from their account, without replacing the card. A business assigns each card to a team member from its dashboard.
